Installing Basswood Blinds

It’s time to decorate your home and do it all by yourself. Don’t even think about calling a professional to do something that you could do on your own. This is a project that is fun, rewarding, and will save you tons of money in the end. Installing your new basswood blinds all by yourself is simple and we are going to step you through it.

There are two ways in which you can install basswood blinds into each of your windows. You can mount them so that they are placed inside of the window (inside mount). This is the most common method for most types of blinds of any kind. Or you can mount them so that they are sitting just outside of the window (outside mount).

Installation For Inside Mount

  1. First you will use a pencil and mark where the holes will be. To know where the holes are place the bracket inside the recess and make sure it is flush with the wall.
  2. Carefully drill the holes and place the fastener into them.
  3. Using a Phillips screwdriver or a drill crew in the bracket. Make sure that it is tight.
  4. You will do the first three steps for the other side.
  5. Slide the blinds in after opening the bracket doors. Once you have closed them again mount the valance.

Installation For Outside Mount

  1. Using your pencil mark where the holes will be placed. Make sure that the outside of the brackets are laying smoothly on the marks. This ensures that the brackets have been separated properly and the blinds will fit comfortably.
  2. Drill the holes and then place the fastener into them.
  3. Using your drill or Phillips screwdriver screw in the bracket and make sure that it is tight enough.
  4. Repeat the first three steps for the other side.
  5. After opening the bracket doors slide the basswood blinds into the right position. Close the doors and then mount the valance.
